The James Gordon Bennett monument (“Bellringers”)by French sculptor Jean-Antonin Carles, Herald Square. Roman goddess of wisdom Minerva, the sponsor of arts and trade is in the center. The bell ringer’s below her are Gog and Magog. The clock was located on the Herald Building that once stood directly to the north of the square on West 35th Street in 1894.

St. Vartan Armenian Cathedral, buyilt in 1966, on the corner of Second Avenue and Thirty-fourth street, a replica of Armenia’s Saint Hripsime Church, which was built in 681 AD. The Morgan General Mail Facility, built in 1933 to connect with the High Line Rail Road, is named for Edward M. Morgan, who was appointed Postmaster of New York City by President Theodore Roosevelt in 1907. It is one of the largest mail-processing facilities in the country with 2.2 million square feet that handles up to 12 million pieces of New York City’s mail every day.
