Created by Zurab Tsereteli, a native of Georgia, the sculpture titled "Good Defeats Evil" was presented by the Soviet Union to the United Nations on the occasion of the organization's 45th anniversary in 1990. The sculpture is 39 feet high and weighs 40 tons, depicting St. George slaying the dragon.
